As the Victorian Age draws to a close, a group of fictional characters are called upon by Queen Victoria's government to save Britain from impending disaster.
Leading the charge is Allan Quartermain. Joined by Mina Harker (of
"Dracula" fame), Captain Nemo (from "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea"), Dr.
Henry Jekyll (Robert Louis Stevenson's character), Dorian (from Oscar
Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray"), Rodney Skinner (based on H.G.
Wells' lead character from "The Invisible Man"), and Tom Sawyer (Mark
Twain's famous creation), Quartermain and his League are called upon to
prevent a world war.
